The Kiyan Prince Foundation, a registered charity since February 2008 (charity number 1125481), was established in memory Kiyan Prince.
Kiyan, a talented young striker in the Queens Park Rangers Youth Academy, tragically lost his life after being stabbed in the heart in May 2006 while peacefully intervening in a fight outside his school, the London Academy in Edgware. Kiyan was just 15.
Kiyan’s legacy lives on through KPF’s commitment to empowering children to become champions of their own futures.
KPF works with young people, especially those at risk of involvement in youth violence, and supports them to use their power of choice to value their own lives and the lives of others.
Just as Kiyan was a role model and leader to his peers, KPF aims to support young people in thinking positively and realising their full potential.
By providing prevention programmes that equip young people with the knowledge and emotional intelligence to make informed decisions, KPF strives to safeguard them from negative influences such as gangs, county lines, and other harmful paths.
With a track record of reaching over 100,000 young people, KPF is dedicated to building a brighter future for the next generation.
Working in schools, in the community and in young offenders’ institutions, KPF uses boxing and life coaching to focus on self-discovery, self-discipline and self-coaching and to help young people use their power of choice to find their purpose and place in the world.
KPF also uses its authentic voice advocating young people to conduct research, to publish reports and to influence public policy.
Utilizing the sport of boxing as a dynamic platform, we engage with youth to impart essential life lessons. Through access to dedicated life coaches and sports coaches, we provide young individuals with exemplary role models who embody the qualities they can emulate to become better versions of themselves. The Foundation offers guidance from sports figures and individuals who have successfully reframed their lives after navigating challenges and making positive choices.
